Walks and Talks

I have done walks, talks and courses about the 20th-century buildings of Bristol and Bath for a number of organisations including:

The Modernist

Tours have included sold-out walks around the brutalist landmarks of Bristol and visits to Clifton Cathedral and All Saints Church as well as Broadmead Baptist Church.

Twentieth Century Society

I led a couple of walks for the Bristol Weekender in May 2026. These visited notable buildings of the 20th century, ranging from Everard’s Printing Works (1901) to Canon’s House (1990), via Rupert Street Car Park, the Odeon in Broadmead, Cheese Lane Shot Tower and more. I also contributed to the Story of the South Bank talk at Arnolfini.

Design West

I ran a six-week course on Photography: Explore Cityscapes and Buildings in Bristol and led a walk on brutalism in Bristol.

Bristol Civic Society

Members have enjoyed a sold-out walk on brutalism in Bristol and more recently a talk at Clifton Cathedral about Bristol’s 20th and 21st century buildings.

Visit Wiltshire

I have run one-day workshops on photography for social media and smartphones.
